three kate’s and a truth
Kate Winslet is a fantastic actress. I’m no film/acting/theather critic, but I’ve been a fan since her early days.
Kate Winslet looks good (so good!) and in my blogging opinion, it’s far beyond the (never ending?) conversation around her visual appearance. It’s her comfort in her own skin - and for that matter nearly all character’s she embodies with that (beautifully human) skin. The industry in which she works, continues to sell images of women that are not only unattainable, but barely even desirable. Her possession of self is so strong to knowingly, or unknowingly, combat the monetizing weed-like female narratives that have overgrown our entertainment industries.
Kate Winslet is, indeed, the breath of fresh air she mentions in the Maureen Dowd piece. Or maybe more of a relaxing and loving sigh (smile on face as you do it). It is so, so, so rad to see a woman being comfortable with who she is while having a massively impressive career. Thank you, Kate. Thank you. #inspo
Kate Winslet, will you be my friend?
ALSO. Where did you get that beer tab charm necklace? Asking for a friend…
